The mission of the Astromaterials 3D project is to make more accessible NASA's Apollo Lunar Sample and Antarctic Meteorite collections, and to share their wondrous cosmochemical stories through interactive, high-resolution, research-grade 3D models. When NASA chose a contractor to lead program integration and control for the largest most complex space systems development in history, the International Space Station, they chose ARES. ARES brings the knowledge, the processes, and the skilled personnel for world class program planning and control. This image from the High Resolution Imaging Science Experiment (HiRISE) camera on NASA's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter shows a location on Mars associated with the best-selling novel and Hollywood movie, "The Martian." This area is in the Acidalia Planitia region.
